LLC “Gardens” recommends creating the crown of trees and shrubs in the spring, before budding, most likely in April. The exception is, of course, the flowering trees in spring. You can work with them only at the end of flowering. When the crown is created, dry, damaged, broken, and also intersecting branches are cut out. Thus, crown thinning is carried out. Thinning is necessary for the light to penetrate into the crown.
If the tree was previously cared for irregularly, then pruning should be carried out gradually – over several seasons. If shoots grow on the tree, they must also be pruned, because they take resources from the tree.
After the cutting procedure, the cut sites must be treated with tree-pruning paste, and it is also necessary to fertilize the soil. For feeding, specialized mineral fertilizers are usually used.
