Verticulation and aeration provide airflow into the soil, help in the fight against weeds and moss, and clear from dead parts of the old lawn. There should be no stones or other solid objects on the lawn that could damage the aerator mechanism.
Verticulation is a rather laborious job. After verticulation, it is necessary to rake all the torn particles of the lawn. Since the collectors with which the verticulation mechanisms are equipped are not so effective in cleaning. After the verticulation, the appearance of the lawn seems “spoiled”, but after two weeks it will become beautiful and bright.
After verticulation and aeration, it is necessary to apply mineral fertilizer to the lawn with the help of a special apparatus, from which it is possible to adjust the seeding rate per square meter (usually indicated on the packaging of the mixture), and also thoroughly water it. Fertilizers should be distributed evenly so that areas of different colors do not form on the lawn, as well as yellowed or even dead areas of the lawn (as, for example, in case of an overdose of mineral fertilizer). After verticulation, if necessary, you can sow the lawn mixture.
